A downloadable game
Description
One billion people have some level of Visual Impairment (VI) that could have been prevented or is still untreated. The objective of this work was to validate the feasibility of a serious game in Virtual Reality (VR) as a tool to raise awareness of visual impairments. Through elicitation of requirements with healthcare and education professionals, a puzzle game was developed that demonstrates a contrast between the perspective of normal vision and a simulated VI in VR. Furthermore, the game presents simple and objective information about eye health. Subsequently, the game was tested and evaluated by participating professionals, resulting in a favorable evaluation.
